Foulger-Pratt to add new apartments to its big Park Potomac mixed-used development in Montgomery County

A major developer has won site plan approval for a new multifamily building in Potomac, adding another piece — a residential building, where new offices were previously envisioned — to a mixed-use puzzle that’s been coming together for two decades.

Foulger-Pratt, based not far away in Potomac, has been chipping away at the 55-acre mixed-use development known as Park Potomac since the early 2000s. At buildout, the project will comprise more than 2.3 million square feet, including more than 1.7 million square feet of residential and about 670,000 square feet of commercial uses, immediately northwest of the interchange between Interstate 270 and Montrose Road.

The Montgomery County Planning Board, at its June 1 meeting, greenlit the latest addition: a 307-unit multifamily building in Park Potomac’s vacant southeastern corner.
